Idaho Poll: Income Tax Cut? No

This week's poll from Idaho Politics Weekly shows a majority of Idahoans opposed to Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter's proposed personal and corporate income tax cuts and in favor of raising education funding more before any tax cuts. It also found people to be closely divided on the "guns on campus" bill that passed last year. Like the publication's other polls, it was done by the Salt Lake City-based firm Dan Jones and Associates. It polled 605 people Jan. 21-29 and has a 3.98 percent margin of error. Idaho Politics Weekly is an online weekly Idaho politics publication put together by Zions Bank. Otter is calling for a reduction in income tax rates over five years, from the current 7.4 percent to 6.9 percent/Nathan Brown, On the Agenda. More here.

Question: Butch isn't afraid to oppose the will of the people when the interest of his corporate buddies' are a stake, right?
