Yesteryear: State Line’s Kon Tiki
On Old School North Idaho, we had a good discussion of the old Kon Tiki at State Line Wednesday. Keva Wolfe posted the photo (courtesy of the Museum of North Idaho) with the note: "This was a popular place in the 60s and 70s." The old Kon Tiki, of course, was a strip club. In observance of Idaho law, which banned alcohol from being served in a place where striptease was taking place, the Kon Tiki was split into two rooms -- one for the dancers, one for the booze. Customers had to leave the bar, go outside, and enter the dancing area. Bosom Butties and Stateline Showgirls were two of the clubs that followed Kon Tiki.
