DOTC: McDowell’s Loss, County’s Loss

Dan of the Community comments on the unexpected departure of county finance director Dave McDowell: "Employees are the most valuable assets any organization has. To not respect and/or run off long-term employees who the County (meaning the taxpayers) have invested a great deal of time and expense to recruit, train, and support is the same as if you were responsible for a county vehicle but then drained the oil and water out of it and then ran it until the engine seized up and the radiator exploded...it would be a misappropriation of public resources. When I look back at the many great people I got to know and respect at Kootenai County, David McDowell was right up there at the top of the list."

Question: I wonder if we're going to see another Teapublican pop up in McDowell's now vacant spot?
