PFPD Apprehends Cat Burglar

On Facebook, Post Falls PD reports: "Officers discovered a cuddly cat burglar slinking about in the parking lot of the police department, casing out vacant patrol cars. The crazed kitten was so persistent it hid itself away underneath a patrol car and hitched a ride with unsuspecting officers to Walmart, a favorite destination for burglars in Post Falls. After arriving at Walmart, Officers observed the kitten attempt to escape from the undercarriage of the patrol car and make a break for Walmart. Fortunately, the cat burglar was apprehended and taken into custody by the observant Officers and was secured in the prisoner compartment of the patrol vehicle. This particular kitten was not only a skilled burglar, but also a skilled escape artist. The cat burglar managed to escape the confines of the caged prisoner compartment by crawling underneath the cage and surprising the Officers in the front seat. A struggle ensued but Officers were successful in once again taking the cat burglar into custody. The kitten was hauled away to the kitty Klink. Look in drop-down box to find out more about cat burglary.

Update: The female kitten, about 4 months old, is safe and doing well at the Post Falls Police animal shelter. She’s all white with a black spot on top of her head, smoky black tail, and yellow-gold eye color. She continues to be as playful and spunky as last night. If you’re the kitten’s owner, or know who might be, please contact Post Falls Police at 773-3517. If no owner is found, the kitten will be available for adoption.
