Officer Robertson's Busy Night 

Officer Robertson of the Post Falls PD had a busy night earlier this week. First, he got head-butted while trying to arrest an out-of-control female. Then, he used his canine buddy, Andor, to persuade an adult male who was freaking out to quit reaching under his bed. In other words, Officer Robertson had a typical shift in the River City.

Letter: Pedestrians Have Right Of Way 10 

About a month ago, Greg Lee & I were almost nailed by a punk in a sports car while crossing Garden Avenue along Northwest Boulevard. The clown car missed us by 2-3 feet. Max. During my noon walk, I regularly see motorists who fail to yield the right of way to pedestrians on crosswalks. That's why I liked a letter to SR editor today.

On Friday, Idaho will celebrate its 125th anniversary as a state. President Benjamin Harrison had hoped to sign the state into existence on Independence Day, but some feared that such legislation — enacted on a holiday — wouldn’t be legal. So the president signed it on the day before.

Montana Trio Wants To Marry 44 

A Montana man said Wednesday that he was inspired by last week's U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage to apply for a marriage license so that he can legally wed his second wife.
