Local GOP Supports Deadbeats, Too

Neil Oliver, chairman of the Kootenai County GOP Central Committee, has sent a letter to Gov. Butch Otter, supporting the House Judiciary & Rules Committee decision to oppose the Child Support Enforcement bill:

"The Kootenai County Republican Central Committee (KCRCC) voted to support the enclosed resolution on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2015. We, the members of the KCRCC, call upon you and our legislators to stand with and support the Judiciary, Rules, and Administration committee's decision to table S1067. Legislation considered by the State of Idaho ought not be influenced by the threat of withholding federal dollars but rather on the merits of the proposed law. Questions raised by the Judiciary, Rules, and Administration committee members should be clearly and fully answered before Idaho debates this bill further. We are not interested in swift, unquestioning passage of this legislation. Rather, we desire our Legislature to engage in careful consideration of the practical application of S1067, and the treaty that it will help ratify, before adding its stamp of approval."

Question: Is there any question at all that the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee is completely out of step with most Idaho Republicans? And certainly out of step with most thinking Idahoans?
