Poll: Leave ‘Of Mice & Men’ Alone

  • Tuesday Poll: Mary Jo Finney & the Ad Hoc Curriculum Committee have few supporters in Hucks Nation for their attempt to relegate John Steinbeck classic "Of Mice & Men" to elective status in Coeur d'Alene ninth-grade classrooms. In one of this blog's most lopsided votes, 278 of 294 (94.56%) respondents said the Coeur d'Alene School Board should reject the committee's recommendation that "Of Mice and Men" be removed from the required reading list and placed on the list for small-group elective reading. Only 11 of 294 respondents (3.74%) supported the committee's recommendation. 5 (1.7%) were undecided.
  • Today's Poll (taken from Coeur d'Alene Press): Has the slaying of Coeur d'Alene Police Sgt. Greg Moore changed your perception of law enforcers?
