Opera Coeur d'Alene is offering a family-friendly free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, at First Presbyterian Church, Fifth and Lakeside, Coeur d'Alene. This one-day-only performance is open to the public and offers a unique opportunity for anyone new to opera. Opera Coeur d'Alene, in its 16th year, will use fresh regional talent to produce "The Wonderful Wizard of Opera" and will continue its tradition of educational outreach to more than 20 local and regional schools throughout North Idaho in May and June. Making his first appearance with Opera Coeur d'Alene, Joshua Vander Plaats, bass, is known for his uniquely low range and dark timbre/Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.
