Malek To Forego Expenses, Too

A second state representative has decided to forego expense reimbursement for Monday’s special session of the Legislature, following a call from Rep. Mark Nye, D-Pocatello, saying he’ll do so and urging other lawmakers to as well. “I will, I’m going to follow suit,” said Rep. Luke Malek, R-Coeur d’Alene.” Asked why, he said, “Well, we went down there to do a job and we didn’t do it right. So I wouldn’t charge a client if I messed up a job. So I don’t think we should charge the taxpayers for messing this up, either”/Betsy Russell, Eye on Boise. More here.
