Regan Will Testify Against Bill

In her Eye on Boise blog this morning, Betsy Russell is covering the special session of the Idaho Legislature:

Of the 30-plus people who have signed up to testify at today’s public hearing on HB 1, the child support enforcement bill, 16 have indicated they’re testifying in favor of the bill, and 13 that they’ll speak against it. Backers of the bill represent groups including Idaho Voices for Children, Idaho Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, AARP, and the Idaho Head Start Association. Opponents represent groups including Gem State Patriot and Leadership Council. Many are speaking just for themselves. Among those signed up to testify against the bill is Brent Regan, who is the board vice-chairman of the Idaho Freedom Foundation and also, for today, is an acting state senator, filling in for Sen. Steve Vick, R-Dalton Gardens/Betsy Russell, Eye on Boise.
