A 1,600-foot section of trail on the east side of Tubbs Hill that was recently improved to make it more accessible to seniors and the physically challenged will be dedicated this Saturday at noon. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the east entrance to the trail at near Ninth Street and East Lakeshore Drive. Officials plan to discuss establishing a Tom McTevia memorial at the site to honor the man who was instrumental in initiating the trail improvements. McTevia died in April following a tragic ATV accident. City officials will address those in attendance and acknowledge McTevia and all the others who made the trail upgrades possible/Coeur d'Alene Today.
