Adams swings, misses again

Seems Councilman Steve Adams is having a hard-time getting his affiliation with Christian conservatives correct -- or at least the part where he says he's the only candidate in his race who represents them. He was called on the carpet at the end of the Wednesday debate by Dan English, founder of North Idaho Youth for Christ, for suggesting that English isn't a Christian. Today, at the Democratic Club luncheon, Adams apologized to English and Bruce MacNeil for inferring that they weren't Christians. What he meant to say was that he's the guy on the council who represents Christian conservatives. Which prompted veteran Councilman Ron Edinger to say -- and I paraphrase: Hey, I'm a Christian, too. In the audience, Councilwoman Amy Evans was surprised that she had been excluded from the Christian circle, too. Maybe we should all join hands with Adams, form a circle, and sing Kumbaya, so he can get his bearings right.
