Idaho joins earthquake drill 

An estimated 1 million people in Washington and another 100,000 in Idaho participated in the Great Idaho ShakeOut earthquake drill Thursday morning. The event was designed to test the emergency preparedness of individuals, families, schools, businesses and other establishments. (Question: Did yo participate in this drill?)

Trib jeers Rev & Tax chairman 

In his weekly Cheers & Jeers column, Opinion Editor Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune jeers ... Idaho House Revenue and Taxation Committee Chairman Gary Collins, R-Nampa. Trillhaase said Collins can do a lot more to push legislation that would allow Idaho to collect up to $103 million in online sales tax.

Vandals target apartment project 

Just two days after residents expressed outrage at City Hall over a 208-unit apartment complex, the construction site sustained thousands of dollars in vandalism damage. At the site in the Fieldstone neighborhood Thursday, oil was found dumped in the cabs and heater vents of three ACI Northwest vehicles. (Q: Is this the right way to protest?)
