The House Freedom Caucus (HFC) stopped short of formally endorsing Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) for House Speaker on Wednesday. Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho), the leader of the HFC, noted that about two-thirds of the conservative group backs Ryan for the Speakership, but said the group will only endorse if 80 percent of members support Ryan. “We couldn’t get to a consensus,” Labrador said.
