AM: Officials assess summer fires
Jason Jerman, Silva culturist for Coeur d'Alene River Ranger District walked through part of the Grizzly Complex fire North of Prichard, Idaho on October 9. Forest experts are still gauging the impact of the summer wildfires in the region. The fires burned more than 40,000 acres in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests this summer, and another 93,000 acres in the neighboring Colville National Forest. Firefighting costs topped $89 million. See story below.
