Blogos: Recalling old Cloud 9

Here's what the North Shore Hotel looked like when I arrived on the scene in September 1982. I ate one of my best meals ever at the old Cloud 9 Restaurant, as a visiting editor of Duane Hagadone's newspaper in Kalispell, Mont. The Cloud 9 tower now serves as the bottom 7 floors of the Coeur d'Alene Resort. That parking lot you see -- and Templin's Restaurant and some bungalows for rent that you don't see -- is now part of the front lawn of the resort. Keva Wolfe posted this photo on Old School North Idaho, crediting Tory Gray for it. Keva said she worked at the old North Shore. Anyone else?
