What is 'Responible CDA'? 19 

A group calling itself "Responible CDA" has filed paperwork with the city of Coeur d'Alene to announce "appointment and certification of political treasurer for candidates and committees" for the Coeur d'Alene City Council elections. The "Responible CDA" group has yet to make a splash in the fall campaign for the municipal election.

Petrino: Epps gone if claims true 

Idaho coach Paul Petrino addressed the Dezmon Epps situation with the media Tuesday afternoon, stating he waiting for the legal process to play out. Idaho suspended Epps indefinitely from the football program after he allegedly struck his girlfriend early Sunday morning.

Update: Resort worker faces charge 10 

A dockmaster accused of stealing $467,800 from the Coeur d’Alene Resort since 2005 has been charged with grand theft. Anthony David Parks, 37, of Coeur d’Alene was fired from his job at the resort marina Oct. 15. Coeur d’Alene police arrested Parks on Oct. 22, and he is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Nov 13.

In the Inlander, former Sandpoint councilman John T. Reuter chuckles when he hears an Idaho politician described as a liberal, especially the ones he left behind in Boise when he moved to Seattle. Sara: Vote to protect CdA public art, vote Edinger 

Coeur d'Alene City Council candidate Toby Schindelbeck said he would like to see the city's public arts budget eliminated, to avoid raising taxes. In a Facebook post, Sara Meyer notes that public art is important to Coeur d'Alene, concluding that the candidate who supports local art in Coeur d'Alene is incumbent Ron Edinger.

Otter wants 'instant racing' back 

Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter says he wants to see lucrative betting machines known as instant horse racing terminals reinstated in Idaho, with tighter regulations. The Idaho Supreme Court ruled earlier this year that the betting machines are illegal because Otter's veto of legislation banning them wasn't returned to lawmakers on time.

One financial disclosure statement stands out among those filed in the Coeur d'Alene City Council races to meet the 7-day, pre-election deadline -- the one from Idaho Second Amendment Alliance Victory Fund. The financial disclosure report says that the 2nd Amendment Alliance spent $350 in this election for work by Vista Print of Waltham, MA.
