There will be no appeal of today’s Idaho Supreme Court ruling overturning Gov. Butch Otter’s veto of legislation to ban slot machine-like “instant racing” machines, according to the Idaho Attorney General’s office.  “It’s been clear from the get-go that the Secretary of State has said all along that he will do whatever the court instructs in this case,” said Todd Dvorak, spokesman for Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden. “This is it.” The court ordered Secretary of State Lawerence Denney to certify the bill as law, meaning the gambling machines became illegal in Idaho as of July 1.
