The following invitation was sent to state Sen. Mary Souza and state Rep. Kathy Sims by executive director Tony Berns of ignite cda. The urban renewal agency has invited the two critics to its board meeting this week. Berns tells Huckleberries that he hasn't heard back from the two legislators:

Re. your September 17 urban renewal town hall meeting designed to gather public input before the next urban renewal interim committee meeting in Boise on September 21.

On behalf of the ignite cda Board of Commissioners, I would like to invite you both to attend the September 16 ignite cda board meeting, to be held in the Coeur d'Alene Public Library's community room at 4:00 pm.  Given that the ignite cda Board meets the day prior to your town hall meeting, I feel this would be an excellent opportunity for you both to visit with the ignite cda board so that you can ask questions and obtain information in advance of your town hall meeting, and upcoming urban renewal interim committee meeting in Boise. Please let me know if you will accept our invitation to attend the board meeting; we can arrange the board meeting agenda to meet any time constraints you may have.
