Collegians Prefer Bernie to Hillary 

A new poll released by Chegg Media Center on Tuesday finds Sanders the overwhelming favorite on college campuses, drawing 59 percent of the student vote. Former first lady Hillary Clinton draws just 18 percent support from the coveted college bloc. (Question: Um, does this poll matter? Do college students vote?)

Trib: Labrador sincerely wrong 

In an editorial this morning, Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune comments that Congressman Raul Labrador and 30 others are wrong in opposing any spending bill that keeps the federal government open after Sept. 30 unless Planned Parenthood's federal funds are cut off.

A Colorado woman is using social media to locate the mother who abandoned her 25 years ago in Coeur d'Alene. Andrea Klug-Napier now wants to find her birth mother or any information she can about the unknown woman who told nurses she was from San Diego. Spencer: Tribe doesn't deserve praise 

In a letter to the Coeur d'Alene Press editor, Larry Spencer criticizes the Press for acknowledging the Coeur d'Alene Indian Tribe's annual contribution to area schools. The tribe, Spencer says, is obligated to provide that money to schools under a compact hammered out with the state that permitted its Coeur d'Alene Casino.

Souza to meet ignite cda board 

Idaho state Sen. Mary Souza hopes ideas to improve urban renewal laws in Idaho are flowing freely this afternoon. That's when she is scheduled to meet with the board of directors for ignite cda, Coeur d'Alene's urban renewal agency. "I'm not trying to make anything confrontational," Souza said Tuesday.
