OOST: Time for Petrino, Spear to go

Out of Stater Tater (RE: UI footballers defend Petrino, staff): This coach needs to go, as well as the AD who hired him, Rob Spear. Spear has been covering for Petrino's behavior, and Spear has proven he doesn't know how to hire a winning football coach. Look at Idaho's record since Spear took over. I refuse to buy this "We can't win at the FBS level" argument. There was initial success (remember the H-Bowl in the late '90s?) and then Spear took over and it's been a disaster ever since. Since U of I moved up, the state's population has grown by more than 300,000 since 2000, so there are more kids to recruit. Moscow may not be the best place on earth to recruit to, but it isn't any worse than El Paso, TX, Iowa City, Iowa, Manhattan Kansas, or Reno, Nevada, for cryin' out loud. Those places aren't always football powerhouses, but they are competitive from time to time.

Question: Are we reaching a tipping point re: the possible firing of AD Rob Spear and football coach Paul Petrino?
