I see some of you have abandoned all hope for the 2016 Seattle Mariners season, after their 3-2 loss to host Texas on opening day. Before you jump off any ledges, I'd like to point out that the Mariners had tied a modern-day record by winning 9 opening days in a row. That, and $2.25 will buy you a 16-ounce cup of coffee. Question: How did the Mariners do, season-wise, following all those opening day wins of the recent past? A baseball season is 162 games. Way too long.
