I see some of you have abandoned all hope for the 2016 Seattle Mariners season, after their 3-2 loss to host Texas on opening day. Before you jump off any ledges, I'd like to point out that the Mariners had tied a modern-day record by winning 9 opening days in a row. That, and $2.25 will buy you a 16-ounce cup of coffee. Question: How did the Mariners do, season-wise, following all those opening day wins of the recent past? A baseball season is 162 games. Way too long. I doubt that the loss in the opener will define the M's season. Remember what happened to Gonzaga. It's not how you beging the season. It's how you end it. Here's your Tuesday Wild Card ...
