During an interview on Friday, I asked former Idaho Gov. Cecil Andrus – elected governor four times as a Democrat – what he thinks of the current infighting with the Idaho GOP. “Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of people,” Andrus responded with a grin. He added, “It’s about time. We Democrats have a history of fighting among ourselves, and I think that the conservative right-wingers or tea party, whatever you want to call them, they appear to me to have the bit in their teeth and to have the control right now.
