Green’s ‘law enforcement experience’

I've been trying to figure out how "constitutional sheriff" candidate John Green, of Rathdrum, who is running against incumbent Sheriff Ben Wolfinger in a Kootenai County GOPrimary race, can say he has 39 years of "law enforcement experience" in political ads -- and be only 56 years old. That would mean that he was 17 when he began his law enforcement experience. Also, he has been in Kootenai County for the last 10 years. I'm not aware that he has been involved with law enforcement experience here in the last decade. He has run for Kootenai County sheriff twice and for the Idaho Senate. But I wouldn't consider that law enforcement experience. I would like to know how many years of actual hands on law enforcement experience that Green has -- as a police officer, not as possibly a lawyer handling criminal cases. I would like to know the positions that Green has held in law enforcement, the rank achieved and departments worked for). Now, it's possible that the numbers add up. I majored in journalism, not mathematics or accounting.

Question: Anyone out there from John Green's camp who can answer this question?
