The Coeur d'Alene Press editorial board says U.S. Rep. Raul Labrador's endorsement of State Rep. Kathy Sims "hints at two things: Labrador owing Sims a favor, and Sims feeling uneasy about her chances against a smart young candidate who represents rational approaches to common problems, rather than Tea Party politics at any cost." IMHO? I can't imagine why Labrador would owe Sims a favor. I think the edit missed the mark there, but is Sims uneasy? If she isn't, she should be. I think it's bad form for a candidate not to answer a newspaper questionnaire for an election guide. A lot of the most reliable voters, seasoned citizens (as DFO calls them), still rely on print newspaper to keep them informed. I think it was disrespectful of Sims not to answer The Press' candidate questionnaire. You can read the rest of the Sunday edit here.
