PS: 4 WA electors abandon Clinton

Although Hillary Clinton easily defeated Donald Trump in last month’s election in Washington, she didn’t pick up all the state’s Electoral College votes Monday. The former secretary of State and Democratic Party nominee split her electoral votes in Washington with a former general and Native American leader. Jim Camden/SR reports.

Wild Card/Monday -- 12.19.16 

So we're leaving the deep freeze for some temperatures above freezing this week. I had the wood stove cranking over the weekend. Everything has been toasty inside. Mrs. O and I even braved the cold last night to get in a short walk with Huckleberry. We bundled up. So it wasn't bad at all.

Idaho's 'loser pays' system hurts poor 22 

The Idaho Supreme Court has launched the state’s entire court system on a new track that might be called “loser pay” – you lose a case, you pay the other side’s attorney fees. Freezing rain, snow to fall

A new slug of winter weather is about to bring a mix of snow, rain and wind to the Inland Northwest. Spokane should see mainly snow, but some rain could get mixed into it on Tuesday. The forecast appears to be a recipe for a hazardous morning commute depending on how much of the snow accumulates on roadways and how quickly it gets cleared away.

Hagadone secretary Dami retires after 48 years 

For 48 years, you didn't contact Coeur d'Alene multi-millionaire Duane Hagadone unless you first went through his secretary, Bernie Dami. Now, Dami, who began working for Hagadone in 1968, has announced her retirement. She tells the Coeur d'Alene Press that there wasn't a single day that she thought about quitting her job.
