Dozens oppose pro-refugee resolution

Standing room only at Wednesday night's Sandpoint City Council Meeting, as dozens of people spoke out in opposition of a proposed resolution aimed at welcoming refugees to the City. Sandpoint's new mayor Shelby Rognstad says the resolution will take a stand against discrimination, but many Bonner County residents say it's a bad idea for their community. Mayor Rognstad and the City Council listened for more than an hour to public comment on a proposed non-discrimination resolution. The majority of people who spoke were against it. "I think it's important for the City of Standpoint to make a stance in its support of human rights and religious and ethnic tolerance," said Rognstad before the meeting/Grace Ditzler, KXLY. More here.

Question: Are you for the resolution? Or against it?
