Progressive PAC forms in Lake City

A new political action committee has formed hoping to challenge what it considers "business as usual" politics with a progressive focus. Coeur d'Alene brothers Dan and Sherm Hanks have formed the Idaho for Freedom PAC and are finalizing other board members. Dan will serve as chairman, while Sherm will be treasurer. "We consider ourselves to be progressive and actively engaged with the Democrat Party," Dan said. "Idaho politics used to be balanced, but somewhere along the line the pendulum got stuck on one side. The other side of it is that the Democratic Party needs to improve so they have a more significant role." The brothers work for Cultivation Counseling, which offers mental health, career and family counseling and group therapy/Brian Walker, Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.
