Weekend Wild Card — 7.9-10.16

My neighbor and I will replace a mutual fence Saturday. We put the one that now stands between us about 25 years ago. We're both in our mid-60s and know this will be the last fence we build together. We lived side-by-side for 30-plus years. We've raised our children in adjoining houses. We've never had an argument. In fact, 3 of the 5 immediate neighbors have lived on McFarland Avenue for 20 to 25 years. Good people. And the newbies who have moved in are just as good. I feel fortunate to live in such a neighborhood. I hope you have good neighbors, too. Here's your Wild Card ...
