Hump Day Wild Card -- 7.20.16 28 

I've been listening to the Republican Convention as I garden during the viewtiful summer evenings that we've been experiencing. I was surprised that Ben Carson connected the dots between Hillary Clinton and Lucifer, via Sal Alinsky. The speech by Donald Trump Jr seemed OK (until I learned there might be a mini-scandal involving it, too).

Facebook post snags wrong woman 

A Lewiston woman and her employer were caught in a crossfire of the national debate on racism when a woman with the same name posted a controversial tweet re: Black Lives Matter. Rachel Marie Triplett and Tri-State Memorial Hospital have dealt with dozens of spiteful comments as a result of the mistaken identity. The Lewiston Tribune reports.

Poll: Military prefers Libertarian Johnson 

Military troops favor Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson for president over Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, according to a new survey. Johnson garnered 38.7 percent of the active duty vote, versus 30.9 for Trump, and 14.1 for Clinton, according to the survey, which was conducted via the popular military personality Doctrine Man.

The Trump Organization staffer who wrote Melania Trump’s Republican National Convention speech on Wednesday took responsibility for copying portions of Michelle Obama's speech. Staff writer Meredith McIver said in a statement that she had offered to resign, but Donald Trump refused to accept her resignation.
