KCSO offers active shooter class

On Aug. 27, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office will be offering a free 2 hour Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events class at its Volunteer Search & Rescue (VSAR) building for local residents. This class will consist of information on Disaster Response Psychology, how to increase your chances of surviving an Active Shooter Event (Avoid, Deny, and Defend), several past Active Shooter cases, and case study of the Active Shooter Virginia Tech case.
