City plans Fort Grounds power outage

Power to Coeur d’Alene City Park and the intersection of Fort Grounds Drive, Government Way and Northwest Boulevard will be out for up to eight hours for utility work August 2. Avista Utilities will be installing power boxes on Fort Grounds Drive between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m. The additional power upgrades will allow the City to add an additional parking pay station to the City-owned lot adjacent to the Museum of North Idaho, adding additional convenience for visitors. During the outage, City of Coeur d’Alene Street Department crews will place a four-way stop in the intersection. The power outage will impact the street light, the City Park band shell and bathroom, the Museum, the Human Rights Education Institute, and a City parks maintenance building/Deputy City Administrator Sam Taylor, city of Coeur d'Alene.
