I listened to part of U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine's speech last night and all of President Barack Obama's. Obama was dealing. He's an amazing orator. But I can't help but thing that the Hillary Clinton campaign is spending too much time off message in dealing with the shenanigans of Donald Trump.

Pmurg: CdA Garbage trucks trashy

Pmurg offers this observation re: the city of Coeur d'Alene switch from Waste Management to Coeur d'Alene Garbage service: The WM trucks were clean and appeared well maintained. In a Friday, May 27, 2016, file photo, Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson speaks to supporters and delegates at the National Libertarian Party Convention, in Orlando, Fla. Omn Sunday, May 29, 2016, The Libertarian Party again nominated former New Mexico Gov. Johnson as its presidential candidate, believing he can challenge presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton because of their poor showing in popularity polls. How about this guy?

A lot of people are dissatisfied with the two major party candidates for president. That leaves Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party and Jim Stein of the Green Party in a position to pick up some folks. Would you consider voting for a Libertarian for president?

Walking: Antidote for office work

As you know, Greg Lee and I walk during our lunch hour. At least most of the time. Now, the AP reports, that activity is vital for guys like us -- and maybe you -- who sit behind a computer 8 hours a day. The health benefits are ginormous. The risks of sitting all day or watching TV for 5 hours are ha-huge, too. How much do you exercise daily?

Jon Alexander, the former Twin Falls Times-News opinion editor who now holds the same position for the Quad Cities Times, capsulizes the problem many of us have with Hillary Clinton: "I just can't help it. I'm skeptical of Hillary Clinton. Polls show I'm not alone." He wonders, however, if he's a victim of anti-Hillary propaganda of last 25 years.

Is it Fort Ground? Or Fort Grounds?

I've wondered what the correct designation is for the historic part of town surrounding NIC. I've seem it written Fort Ground. Fort Grounds. Fortground. And Fortgrounds. The SR uses Fort Grounds. The renamed Mullan Avenue, between City Park and Memorial Field, I believe, reads Fort Grounds Drive. Mayor Steve Widmeyer owns Fort Ground Tavern.
