Mrs. O and I made our first hike of Tubbs Hill this year, with Huckleberry leading the way, last Saturday. We were concerned that we might encounter problems with dogs off leash during our hike. But the 6 or 7 dogs we encountered were on leash, directed by responsible owners. I hadn't hiked Tubbs Hill since Greg Lee and I made an impromptu trip around the popular downtown attraction during a noon walk last summer. The hike was as swell as others, offering distinct views of the Coeur d'Alene Resort, marina, boardwalk and City each on the east side. Arrow Point and the expanse of open water on the south side. Sanders Beach, the floating green and Silver Beach on the east side. We spotted a small girl crying while her family comforted her after she'd tripped and fallen on a rock in the path. Years ago, Mrs. O and I took a group of 7-8YO church girls on a hike of Tubbs Hill. Most of them wore flipflops. Most of them fell somewhere along the path. Memories. Afterward, we promised each other that we'd hike Tubbs Hill more often this summer. (Mrs. O photo: DFO with Huckleberry on south side of Tubbs Hill Saturday)

Question: How often do you hike Tubbs Hill?
