The fair held in Coeur d’Alene each year has a new name. The organization announced Thursday that the fair’s name has been changed to the North Idaho State Fair. Already the largest fair in the northern 10 counties of Idaho, the name change will increase the fair’s geographical presence.

An injured hiker is transported over a rocky outcropping in the Dishman Hills Natural Area Thursday.
