Huckleberries Online

On the Waterfront

I was surprised to find that the Coeur d'Alene Resort Boardwalk was open for pedestrians, when I ventured out for my daily noon walk today. I was planning a new route as I approached the clock tower. But I noticed the boardwalk open. Usually, it closes in November through the end of January to protect all the light displays along the boardwalk. This year, however, there are only a few displays along the boardwalk, fenced off at its southwest corner (the seating area). Except for Hagadone Hospitality employees, I had the boardwalk to myself as I made my circuit.
