Wild Card/Monday — 10.31.16

I mowed my lawn Sunday, Oct. 30. I MOWED my lawn on Oct. 30. OCTOBER 30. I can' remember mowing my lawn this late in the year since I moved to the Inland Northwest in 1977, except for those two golden years in Lewiston, the Banana Belt of Idaho. The lawn was wet. But neighbor Jerry and I had made sure on Saturday that it was relatively leaf-less. Jerry is a composter. I provide leafy compost. It's a good arrangement. Good neighbors are a blessing.
