Public meeting planned for North Idaho prescribed burn
The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Silver Valley Office in Smelterville.
Forest managers say the prescribed fires can reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfire and improve forest health. The burns are usually done every spring and fall.
