Gfeller announces NIC trustee run

Greg Gfeller announced his candidacy for the North Idaho College Board of Trustees, Zone 3 seat, in the upcoming Nov. 8 election. In declaring his candidacy, Gfeller stated: “If elected to the NIC Board, I will bring 38 years of business experience and community service to the position as the Board works with the employees, students, and the larger community to provide quality education for the academic, career technical, and workforce training programs as well as recognizing the need to adjust to an ever changing economy. My emphasis would be for NIC to partner with others to create a thriving economy that provides better paying jobs for our citizens.” Gfeller has worked for Avista Utilities Corporation for the past 38 years commencing his employment in 1978 as a gas crewman digging ditches for gas lines. Over the years, he has held various management positions with the company and since 2010, he has been Director of Operations for Avista’s East region. Gfeller is challenging incumbent Trustee Todd Banducci here. Gfeller has received the endorsement of Balance North Idaho./Gfeller campaign.
