Recently, Matt Vergara of KREM 2 reported on the Good Samaritans who left scarves for the cold and homeless on North Idaho College's "Giving Wall." On Sunday, Mrs O & I saw about dozen plastic bags containing the scarves on the "Giving Wall." Today, Greg Lee and I saw only one left.

Students who want a Black Lives Matter movement mural to remain where it was painted on a high school parking space protested Wednesday against a superintendent's decision to remove it, while others who support the decision staged a counter-protest and waved Confederate flags.

Auction: 4 Priest Lake cabin sites 

Four unleased, state-owned lakefront cabin sites on Priest Lake will be put up for public auction this Friday at the Coeur d’Alene Resort. Two of the four lots are vacant; the other two have existing cabins on them. Starting bids range from $486,800 to $576,800, including the cost of the cabins.

Earlier this week, Cindy Hval told SR readers about Nolan Stewart, a 12YO Spokane boy who has learned to cope with Crohn's disease. Crohn’s disease is a subtype of inflammatory bowel disease, a chronic inflammatory condition of the intestine. Says Nolan: “It can affect everything from mouth to butt."

KCSO: Toddler murder suspect caught 

Spokane murder suspect Jason Obermiller was found and arrested at a Lake Coeur d'Alene cabin near Worley this afternoon. Obermiller is suspected of killing 2-year-old Adalynn L. Hoyt last week and has been on the run ever since. Hoyt died of a single blow to the abdomen, according to the Spokane County Medical Examiner.

I'm back from my annual physical exam. No red flags popped up. In fact, the numbers indicated that all the walking Greg Lee and I have done this year has had an effect. Now, I had my dental exam last month. Now, I need to schedule my eye exam. I do these things close to my birthday each year as a love gift to Mrs. O.
