A woman visiting family in Priest River, Idaho was struck and killed by a log truck last week while jogging along a two-lane road.

The crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday on Dufort Road, which runs along the Pend Oreille River. The Idaho State Police reported Jesse R. Flory, 22, was driving a fully loaded Kenworth tractor-trailer and was negotiating a lefthand curve when he encountered Katherine Rose Malone, 36, jogging in the roadway.

Flory lost control and the truck overturned, spilling its load. Malone was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to a funeral home in Newport/Chad Sokol, SR. More here.
