Huckleberries Online

Farewellfest will be next Thursday

Steve Widmyer, the SR, and I have settled on a time and day for Huckleberries Farewellfest, from 5 to 7 p.m. next Thursday at the Fort Ground Grill in the historic Fort Grounds. The SR will provide cake, cookies, punch, and coffee. But, as always, you'll have to buy your own booze. I suppose I'll have to make a speech, which is frightening because, well, Portuguese men don't like to show emotion. And I'm 100 percent Portuguese. Mebbe we can get Mayor Widmyer to say something. And throw open the mike. We will, of course, toast one last time those who have gone on before, including OrangeTV and The Bard of Sherman Avenue.

  • BTW, I've switched my final day of blogging from Wednesday to Thursday.

Question: Do you think you can make Farewellfest?
