Otter presides over Land Board

Gov. Butch Otter is back and presiding over the state Land Board meeting this morning. He’s gotten lots of welcome-backs and questions about how he’s doing. His response to one of the well-wishers: “Good – slow, but mobile.”

Otter was working from home for two and a half weeks while he recovered from two back surgeries and a subsequent infection. The governor, 75, was released from the hospital July 27 after nearly two weeks; he then continued recovering at home, while staying in touch with his office; he made a brief visit to his Statehouse office last week, and returned yesterday/Betsy Russell, Eye on Boise.
