Steve Gibbs, 64, Gallery owner, RIP 

Coeur d'Alene lost a champion of the arts on the final day of 2016. Steve Gibbs, owner of the Art Spirit Gallery in downtown Coeur d'Alene, succumbed to Lou Gehrig's disease Saturday. Last fall, he told the SR: "I want to keep this place going and keep art and community strong in downtown Coeur d’Alene." He'll be missed by many.
