Marysville, WA (March 24, 2010): Saturday night March 27 the iRacing.com
American Speed Association Northwest Late Model Tour gets the 2010 race
season underway. Since 1985 Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington has
hosted the Northwest Tours opening race. At 7pm the Northwest's best super
late model stock racers will battle on the large .667-mile oval for 125-laps
in the first of twelve scheduled races for the coveted ASA NWLMT
championship.

This season's championship is a wide open affair with last season's champion
Gary Lewis (Snohomish, WA) moving on to the NASCAR West Series. Missing his
first tour championship by just a few points Brent Harris (E. Wenatchee, WA)
returns as one of the favorites for the 2010 title. Also in the picture last
season was Kelly Mann (Monroe, WA) and he is set to challenge for his first
tour championship.

Another driver to watch is last season's rookie of the year Joey Tanner
(Portland, OR). Tanner parlayed his knowledge gained by capping off 2009
with a win of the Yakima Speedway Fall Classic.

Add in veteran drivers such as: Pete Harding (Surrey, B.C.), Jason Fraser
(Snohomish, WA), Jay Sauls (Puyallup, WA), Harold Raczynski (Duvall, WA) and
Darrell Midgley (Victoria, B.C.) the first race of the year has drawn the
best of the best from the Northwest.

Add to the mix other formidable foes that have a lot of experience on
Evergreen's big track. Shane Harding (Langley, B.C.) and Naima Lang
(Lynnwood, WA) both have dominated the local super late model championship
scene. Other locals registered for the big race are James Mugge (Everett,
WA), Fred Hall (Monroe, WA) and Mike Holden (Bothell, WA).

In the original traveling tour in 1985 was Bobby Baker (Wallula, WA). Baker
is set to return to the tour after many years off from super late model
racing.
