KALISPELL, Mont. (September 4, 2010)-Chris Warburton took advantage of Jason Young’s bobble exiting turn No. 4 late in the Flathead Beacon Bomber 75 to claim his first main event victory of the 2010 season. Warburton set a new track qualifying and used the speed to win the race over the course of the longest Bomber event of the year.

Ray Young recovered from an early race spin to finish third with Cory Reum and Josh Norris rounding out the top-5.

“That was an incredible run tonight for our race team and I owe it all to my crew,” Warburton said during post-race ceremonies. “I waited to get a good run on Jason and he checked up for a second and I got around him and just tried to smooth the race of the race.”

The Westward Bound Construction/Keller Williams Realty Legend Series battle for the 2010 championship saw Wrango West hold a slim nine-point over defending champion, Jake Bisset, coming into the night’s race. With West leading the way to an apparent victory on Saturday night, the motor erupted and handed the lead and eventual victory to Bisset resulting in a swing to the champion’s benefit of 11 points.

Joe Bisset, Tim Corbett, Dave Daughtry and Spike Schultze closed out the top-5 running order for the 30-lap Legend shootout.

Super Stock Rookie of the Year points leader, Brandon Sickler, moved by Chuck Swope and Lonnie Barnett early in their 25-lap main event then held off the hard charging Tyler Schweigert to net his second main event victory of the 2010 season.

Defending series champion, Jason Robinson, scored a third place finish with Barnett and Swope closing out the top-5.

Ed Lynn earned his second main event of the season in the MRP Hobby Stock division as he roared by the checkered flag over two-seconds in front of Dustin Martel with Brandon Martel running third. Mike Rowe and Scott Seltzer scored fourth and fifth place respectively.

Zach Havens blazed by John Logan and withstood a challenge from Scott Lee in the closing laps for the win in the MRP Thunder Roadsters main event. Dave Daughtry finished third with Logan fourth and Kyle Koehler fifth.

Justin Greskowiak found the high side of Montana Raceway Park to the liking of his MRP Hornet and caught then-leader Kyle Basler for the top spot with two laps to go in the main event. Ryan Krause, Jessica Berglund and Troy Pilgram scored third, fourth and fifth place respectively.

The final Lucas Oil Super Late Model Series race of 2010 will be run next Saturday night. Alex Lessor holds a slim five-point spread on Bodie Morton with the top-6 drivers separated by less then 50 points heading into the finale. September 11th’s racing is sponsored by Miller Lite and Town Pump. The Harley Davidson giveaway sponsored by Miller Lite and Town Pump will take place during intermission.
