WENATCHEE, Wash. (May 22, 2015)–  This weekend the Tri Track Super Late Model Series will venture to a new track for the first time when they head to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA  for the Mark Galloway 150 on 5/8 Oval . The race will feature both the best of the Tri Track Super Late Model Series Drivers and Evergreen Speedways NASCAR Whelen All-Amercan Late Model Drivers in a joint point’s race event. This will be the biggest track that drivers in the series will take part of during the year. With a large field expected anything could happen in the 150 Lap shootout.

One Driver who is really excited about the weekend in is Doni Wanat (Woodinville, WA).  Wanat currently sits 4th in TTSLMS Points Standings and 2nd ES NASCAR Late Model Standings. ”This is going to be a great weekend for my team and I to have a race for both the series and our local class combined together.” Said Wanat  “We have been working on hard on our new car and will be looking for big things from it this weekend when we debut it at the track.”   Wanat added “The Race at Wenatchee was definitely a learning experience that I hope I can carry over to this weekend.” Doni is coming off an impressive 5th place finish at the Leonard Evans 200 after just his first trip to Wenatchee Valley Super Oval.

The leading Rookie in the TTSLMS this year has been Parker Stephens (Olympia, WA). Back to back Top 5 finishes in the first two races of the year has showed the talent and diversity of the young 17 year old driver. Stephens has showed success early of adapting to the tracks but has had success on most tracks in his earlier Legend Racing days including the 5/8th at Evergreen Speedway. “This weekend will be new experience for me to race the Late Model on the Big 5/8th but something I’ve always look forward to doing.” Said Stephens “We’ve had a great start to the season and staying up front but would love to capitalize on that and capture a win.”

Finishing second in the TTSLMS in 2014 was very big for Mitch Kleyn (Quincy, WA) but following that up with another great season is the goal for Kleyn and his team. So far that has gone well with 2 Top-10 finishes in the first 2 races of the 2015 season. “The season has gone ok so far but we want to improve and get the car into the top 5” said Kleyn “We’ve been working hard on the car for the Evergreen race and hopefully we have a successful weekend with it”

This will be a combined race for the TTSLMS with Evergreen Speedway NASCAR Late Models and Jeff Knight (Monroe, WA) might be a driver you want to keep your eyes on. Besides having the interesting combination career of racer and Church Pastor, Knight has had a pretty good start to the 2015 Season after missing the first race of the year. Knight has had 3 Top 5 finishes and also captured fast time during one event. “This weekend we are looking to keep the momentum going onto the Big Track” said Knight “The team has worked hard on giving me a great car and we hope to get it to the front on Saturday.”

Action gets underway Saturday with Qualifying starting at 3:30 P.M.  Also in action will be FSCRA, Columbia River Legends and Street Stocks. The winner of the Mark Galloway 150 will walk away with the special hardware and $6,000 winner’s check. For more information on this weekend’s events visit  www.evergreenspeedway.com .
