Surprisingly popular books and where to find them (hint: the library)

Whether you've read them or not, you've probably heard of Gone Girl and Fifty Shades of Grey. But if you're looking for a new read this summer, here are a few other selections that have been popular in Spokane recently.

We selected books from lists of the most widely-circulated items within the Spokane, Spokane County and Coeur d’Alene library systems over the past five years and Auntie’s Bookstore’s self-reported bestsellers from the same period. Spokane is Reading selections and other books we thought were already widely known were excluded. The resulting suggestions are entirely subjective and in no particular order, but we hope you can find something that sounds interesting to you.
