Fly fishing films Friday at the Bing

FISHING – The International Fly Fishing Film Festival is coming to Spokane on Friday, April 4, to celebrate the beginning of another fishing season and as a fundraiser for the Spokane Falls Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

The films will screen at 7 p.m. at the Bing Crosby Theater.

This festival has a completely different lineup of films as compared with the Fly Fishing Film Festival that came to Spokane in February, says Sean Visintainer of Silver Bow Fly Shop, which is cosponsoring the event.

A short segment on fly-fishing philosophy featuring British Columbia guide April Vokey is getting rave reviews.

See trailers from four of the featured films:

Proceeds from a silent auction before the films will help fund TU projects on the Spokane River, such as redband trout migration studies and boat access on the upper river.

Tickets: $15 at Silver Bow Fly Shop, 924-9998, or online, flyfilmfest.com/IF4.
