WINTERSPORTS -- This photo from Mount Spokane suggests that the prayers of skiers and snowboarders are being answered.

Last night's snowfall left a perfect winter wonderland for groomers to work their magic at Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park and other resorts in the region.

Mt. Spokane resort is open seven days a week starting today through Jan. 3. Another dump of snow is in the forecast to greet the Friday start of night skiing on the state park's slopes.

"We have more snow now than at the peak of last season," Brad McQuarrie, resort manager, said this morning.

"Another 4 to 8 inches of snow is predicted tomorrow night. You should call in sick on Friday!"
